I had trouble tracking down a source of GPS data for the Routeburn, Greenstone Valley and Caples tracks before I went, so I made my own set as I went around. Waypoints are at approximately 30 minute intervals:

The Routeburn track is covered by the Series NZ260 (scale 1:50,000) Topographic Map sheets D40, D41 and E40. My OziExplorer And NZ 260 Maps page may also be of use to you if your working with these maps electronically.
